Safe vs Risky Investments

We've all heard of safe vs risky investments, but what exactly are they?

The difference between Safe & Risky investments lies in the amount of risk involved and the potential return it offers. Safe investments have lower risks and hence offer lower returns vs. risky investments.

Some safe investments are Savings Accounts, Certificate of Deposits (CDs), Treasury Bills, Corporate Bonds. Some riskier investments are Stocks, Options, Future Contracts, and Cryptocurrency. This is a vague description of safe and risky investments, but the article "Safe Vs. Risky Investments" will go into more detail regarding each of these types of investment.
